Another of my favorites, Weekend Knitting includes over 50 projects ranging from some that are very quick knits (think 1-2 hours) so larger projects that might just take a whole weekend to do. Editor Melanie Falick called on some of our favorite designers to contribute: Nicki Epstein, Jo Sharp, Teva Durham, Priscilla Gibson-Roberts and many, many more. With designs ranging from whimsical to gorgeous, and ultra-simple to fancy-but-not-complicated, you'll have fun knitting and love the results. You'll find beautiful washcloths, pillows, felted market bags, hats, scarves, really beautiful and innovative shawls, a variety of socks, and some terrific sweaters. Even finger puppets for the children in your life. All use straight forward yarn, clear patterns, and can be knit fast, like a weekend.
